This extremely rare gemstone was discovered after 1986 near the town of Tengiz in Kazakhstan, after the fire of an oil drilling dura, an underground fire burned for 14 months with temperatures reaching 5400 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the fire forged the soils, clay, sand, oil, machinery and anything else in its path,m and the ground cooled, these stones were found.
Its chemical composition is very similar to Obsidian.
